# 7 Exploration de l’identité entrepreneuriale écosystémique : Voyage au cœur de l’écosystème entrepreneurial Mauricien
Entrepreneurial ecosystems seek to bring together actors with diverse logics around a more or less shared vision of the territory’s entrepreneurial development [1]. Beyond infrastructure and support schemes, the dynamics of these ecosystems rely on the construction of an ecosystem-based entrepreneurial identity, made up of shared values, collective narratives and mechanisms of mutual recognition. Yet this notion has received little attention in the literature.
This issue of EE Lab Publications explores this notion through an analysis of one of Africa’s most dynamic entrepreneurial ecosystems: that of Mauritius. This island territory provides a particularly valuable setting for understanding how cultural diversity, economic ambitions and strategies of international openness fit together.
