# 7 – EN – Exploration of Entrepreneurial Ecosystem Identity : A deep dive into Mauritian Entrepreneurial Ecosystem

SBE

Entrepreneurial ecosystems aim to bring together actors with diverse logics around a vision more or less shared of the territory’s entrepreneurial development [1]. Beyond infrastructure and support mechanisms, the dynamics of these ecosystems rely on the construction of an ecosystem-based entrepreneurial identity, shaped by shared values, collective narratives, and mechanisms of mutual recognition. However, this notion remains underexplored in the literature.

This issue of EE Lab Publications proposes to examine this concept through an analysis of one of Africa’s most dynamic entrepreneurial ecosystems: that of Mauritius. This island territory provides a particularly relevant setting for understanding how cultural diversity, economic ambitions, and strategies of international openness are interconnected.
