In response to innovation imperatives, corporations are turning to corporate accelerators to engage with entrepreneurial ecosystems. However, the institutionalization process and intrapreneurial impacts of such accelerators remain underexplored. Drawing on neoinstitutional theory, we introduce the concept of entrepreneurial ecosystemic institutional work. On the basis of a qualitative study of two French accelerators, we identify a three-stage institutionalization process—impetus, construction, and structuring—linked to political, economic, and social types of practices. This external engagement also reshapes intrapreneurial dynamics, offering microfoundational insights into ecosystem-based corporate entrepreneurship.
